Becoming an Affiliate

• 1. Who can participate in WTP’s affiliate program?

  World Trade Press’ affiliate program is open to any affiliate with a website or blog in a relevant market niche. Affiliate program applications are vetted before approval to ensure that affiliate audiences are relevant to a segment of the WTP product base, and that the size and responsiveness of the audience is large enough to ensure generation of adequate clicks.

• 2. What is a relevant market niche?

  World Trade Press products cover the areas of food, cooking and culture, international trade, world culture and logistics.

• 3. How do I become an affiliate?

  You will need to complete an Affiliate Program Application for the World Trade Press marketing manager to review. If approved, you will be given further information on setting up your affiliate URL and links.

• 4. What is the application approval process?

  We manually review all the affiliate applications. We check your application details, the content of your website, YouTube channel, or other social media accounts. The process might take up to 5 business days before your application is accepted/rejected. Once your application is reviewed, look for an email from affiliates@worldtradepress.com with your application status.

• 5. Does it cost anything to become an affiliate?

  No, the program is free to join.

• 6. I operate multiple websites; can I still participate in the program?

  Yes. You’re welcome to promote the products of World Trade Press across all your websites. The more links and banners you place on your websites and email lists, the more clicks you’re likely to generate and this should translate into a higher conversion.

• 7. How does the World Trade Press affiliate program work?

  Once we approve your application, you will receive a unique affiliate link and access to our marketing materials. Simply place your affiliate link or affiliate banners in your product reviews and on your website. Each time you send us a new customer who makes a purchase, you earn a commission.

Earning Commissions

• 8. How much can I earn?

  Earnings are determined by how hard and how continuously your affiliate links are promoted.

• 9. How do I get paid?

  Payment is made via PayPal.

• 10. When do I get paid?

  On the 15th of each month.

• 11. A referral of mine made a purchase without using my link. Can I still get a commission?

  No. The only method we have for tracking commissions is the affiliate link. Purchases made through means other than that link will not be credited to your account.

• 12. Where can I find my earnings?

  Earnings can be tracked on your affiliate dashboard.

• 13. What are the payout requirements?

  Affiliates must accumulate $25 in their account before a payout will be made. Once $25 or more has been accumulated, a payout will be made on the next scheduled payment date after the accumulation.

• 14. Is there a minimum payout amount?

  Currently, the minimum payout amount is $25. World Trade Press reserves the right to alter this minimum payout amount at their discretion.

• 15. Can I earn commissions on my own purchases?

  No. You will not receive any credit when making a purchase through your own affiliate link. You may receive an automatic notification to let you know that a sale has taken place, but your affiliate payments will not include commissions for that sale.

• 16. How are sales tracked?

  We track the sales by tracking (affiliate) links and cookies. When a user clicks on your tracking link, we place cookies into their browser, and they help us recognize that it is your referred user.

• 17. What is a tracking link?

  A tracking link, also known as an affiliate link, is a special URL that helps us identify that a particular referral came from you. World Trade Press uses this mechanism to determine which links bring conversions. More specifically, the tracking link can:

  - Recognize the site from where the user came

  - Check whether they make a purchase

  - Validate the conversion

• 18. How long will a customer be attributed to my account?

  World Trade Press affiliate link cookies last 60 days.

Support and Promotion

• 19. How is the World Trade Press affiliate program supported?

  World Trade Press offers affiliate links and web banners for use on affiliate websites. A monthly affiliate newsletter goes out to all affiliate marketers. We offer technical support for affiliate links, comprehensive tracking tools and a user-friendly affiliate dashboard which allows you to track your progress.

• 20. Can I promote WTP on social media?

  Yes. World Trade Press does, however, reserve the right to revoke the affiliate status of any affiliate promoting World Trade Press or its products in a manner deemed unfit by World Trade Press.

• 21. Can I promote WTP using e-mail marketing?

  Yes. World Trade Press does, however, reserve the right to revoke the affiliate status of any affiliate promoting World Trade Press or its products in a manner deemed unfit by World Trade Press.

• 22. Can I buy traffic/use paid media to promote WTP?

  No. World Trade Press does not allow using pay-per-click or pay-per-impression campaigns as advertising methods and bidding on keywords and phrases containing the World Trade Press or World Trade Press product names on pay-per-click or pay-per-impression campaigns on the search engines (Google, Yahoo, MSN, Ask, Bing or others) without our prior approval.
